Fleet Mission Statement
To establish efficient and effective delivery of County fleet automotive vehicles providing departments with safe, reliable, economically sound transportation and related support services. Responsive to department vehicles needs that conserve vehicle value and equipment investment.
Preventive Maintenance Definition
Timely and periodic servicing of equipment and the diligent inspection, detection and correction of potential equipment failure before a major defect occurs.
- To provide a centralized Fleet management function in order to maximize vehicle usage and the efficiency or the fleet operation.
- To establish Fleet financial budget that identifies all fleet costs, allocates these costs and supports Fleet Management as a governmental operation.
- To provide the best quality services and repairs balanced against cost with quick turn-around of repairs.
- To assist with the development of County policy regarding vehicle transportation for the County employees in the conduct of official County business.
Road Department assets and diesel driven vehicles are managed and maintained by that department. Diesel driven vehicles of the Drain Commissioner are managed and maintained by that department.
