Permits

A Right-of-Way permit is needed anytime a private citizen or contractor performs work within the road right-of-way (typically 33 feet on each side from center of road) including driveway (new installation or resurfacing), tree trimming or utility work.

A Commercial vehicle permit is needed for any transportation of construction equipment, oversize loads, mobile home/buildings or other heavy loads. Our commercial vehicle permits are found here. If you are unsure about which permit to use please contact our office at 269-925-1196.

A Seasonal Weight Restrictions permit is required during Seasonal Weight Restrictions (aka "Frost Laws") for commercial vehicles during late winter and early spring. Notice will be given in the newspaper on on our main website page when Seasonal Weight Restrictions are in effect. These permits are found here.

All permits are free except for Contractor Right-of-Way and Seasonal Utility Work permits which are $100.
